Matt Whitehead has been running and racing since he could walk, winning his first race at 2 years old (here's proof). He has also been studying anatomy, physiology, and the biomechanics of running since he could first read (seriously - ask his parents). Matt raced in elementary and middle school (100m, 200m, cross-country), high school (400m, 800m, cross-country), and Division 1 at Gonzaga University (800m and cross-country). Post collegiately, after earning a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science, Matt continued to trail run, adventure run, and race as he raised his three kids. For over 20 years, Matt has been working full-time as an Egoscue certified Posture Alignment Specialist, Advanced Exercise Therapist, and personal trainer helping athletes eliminate injuries, stay pain free, and extend their careers. Matt has worked with brand new runners, lifelong runners in their 80s, 100 mile champions, Olympians, and everyone in-between. Matt is a certified Ultrarunning Coach with United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy.
